U.S Comparative Climatic Data

This data set is made up of tables of meteorological parameters that outline the climatic conditions at major weather observing stations in the United States of America, Puerto Rico, and several Pacific Islands. The data is from observing sites that are comparable in exposure. Data were extracted from the normals means and extremes table in the NCDC publication "Local Climatological Data Annual Summary" (LCD) (DSI-3909), published for individual stations. There are 10 tables of observed data and 6 tables of normals data. The tables are: 1. Temperature, highest of record 2. Temperature, lowest of record 3. Days, mean number of, with minimum temperature 32 degrees F or less 4. Days, mean number of, with precipitation 0.01 inch or more 5. Snowfall, average total 6. Wind speed, average 7. Wind speed, maximum, and direction 8. Sunshine, average percent of possible 9. Days, mean number of, with skies clear, partly cloudy, and cloudy 10. Relative Humidity, average morning and afternoon 11. Temperature, normal daily maximum 12. Temperature, normal daily minimum 13. Temperature, normal daily mean 14. Heating Degree Days, normal, July-June 15. Cooling Degree Days, normal, Jan-Dec 16. Precipitation, normal.
