presentationForm:
abstract: Collection includes presentation materials and outputs from operational space environment models produced by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) and other related model datasets. Included are; 1) regional space environment specifications of the atmospheric total electon content (TEC) for the continental United States (CONUS), 2) global specifications of ionospheric D-region (radio-wave) absorption and 3) interplanetary solar-wind specifications for predicting the propagation and arrival times of geoeffective coronal mass ejections (CME). Also included is a 30-year space environment climatogy produced by the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (formerly NGDC).
purpose: To provide scientific data stewardship of solar-terrestrial datasets in compliance with NOAA Administrative Order (NAO) 212-15, "Management of Environmental and Geospatial Data and Information", dated 04 Nov 10. Scientific Data Stewardship includes the Archive, Access, and Assessment (AAA) of operational and related solar and space environmental datasets.
