Temperature profiles were collected from High Density XBT AX07 lines from Ships TOLUCA, TMM MORELOS, and MITLA from the North Atlantic Oceans from 27 March 1996 to 28 November 1999. Data were collected by the Atlantic Oceanographic Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) in support of the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP), and the SOT SOOP.

Supplemental Information
The high density XBT data for 1996, 1998 and 1999 were ftp's from AOML's public anonymous ftp site, ftp.aoml.noaa.gov.

Each "Cruise" is kept in a directory labelled
"MMMYY" where MMM=month and YY=year (eg. May 1996 = may96)

The files are in SEAS format.
The file names are:
ax7MMYY.XXX
where MM=integer month
YY=year-1900
XXX=XBT number.
