CTD data from ALPHA HELIX from Gulf of Alaska for the Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics (GLOBEC) project from 2001-04-04 to 2001-08-08 (NCEI Accession 0000618)
This dataset contains CTD and associated variable data collected for the Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics (GLOBEC) Northeast Pacific project from the Gulf of Alaska from May 4, 2001 to Aug. 8, 2001. The data were collected by Dr. T. Weingartner, Univ. of Alaska/IMS, and were received courtesy of the Univ. of Alaska/IMS and the IMS Database web server. Also included are GLOBEC Cruise Reports for three cruises.

Supplemental Information | The purpose of the NE Pacific GLOBEC program is to develop a mechanistic understanding of the response of the marine ecosystem to climate variability. Toward this end the GLOBEC cruises on the Gulf of Alaska shelf will determine the physical-chemical structure, primary production and the distribution and abundance of zooplankton, YOY salmon and other planktivorous fishes. |
Purpose | To develop a mechanistic understanding of the response of this marine ecosystem to climate variability. |
