Dataset Overview | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)

Currents, attenuation, temperature, conductivity, and pressure in the North Atlantic Ocean on the New England Continental Slope from the RV OCEANUS from November 10th, 1982 through November 18th, 1984 (NCEI Accession 0066097)

A study of currents on the Continental Slope designed to describe the currents and to investigate the transport of sediment from the shelf to the slope. This work was conducted in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management (Minerals Management Service) to assess the environmental consequences for offshore petroleum development.

Supplemental Information
This archival package contains only a snapshot of the USGS time series database. The data on the originator's website, http://stellwagen.er.usgs.gov/, may have updates that are not yet captured here.

In this Accession, NODC has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
