Supplemental Information
ORIGINATOR IDENTIFICATION:
Dr. Gregory C. Johnson
NOAA/Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory
Building 3/Bin C15700
7600 Sand Point Way NE
Seattle, WA 98115

INSTRUMENT USED:
Sea-Bird 9plus CTD profiler
Sea-Bird 3 temperature sensor
Sea-Bird 4 conductivity sensor
Sea-Bird 43 oxygen sensor

INSTRUMENT CALIBRATION:
Sea-Bird 9plus CTDs s/n 09P3450-0209 and s/n 09P8431-0315 Last calibrated July 2007 by Sea-Bird, Inc. in Bellevue, WA. Temperature, conductivity, and oxygen sensors are calibrated as needed.

DATA FORMAT:
Data are stored in the file of 'gsx08.lst'. This single file is comprised of 42 1-dbar averaged CTD profiles of pressure (dbar), temperature (C, IPTS-68), salinity (PSS-78), and oxygen (umol/kg) data. Each profile contains 8 header records followed by a variable number of data records depending on the depth of the cast. Profiles are appended one right after another.
Purpose This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
