This dataset includes discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, pH on sea water scale, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC-11, CFC-12, CFC113), carbon tetrachloride (CCL4), tritium, and helium obtained during the R/V Charles Darwin cruise CD139, CLIVAR_I05_2002 (EXPOCODE 74AB20020301) in the Indian Ocean from 2002-03-01 to 2002-04-15. These data were collected by M. Alvarez of Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Aida F. Ríos of Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas; Departamento de Oceanograffa and H. Bryden [affiliation unknown] as part of the CLIVAR_I05_2002 data set. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
