This dataset reports conductivity, temperature, and depth data collected during R/V Bellows cruise BE-1317 of the offshore shelf of the Florida Panhandle Bight at the head of DeSoto Canyon from April 6th to 8th 2013. Chemical analysis of CTD bottle data collected during four Deep-C cruises in 2013 completed by the Wetlands Research Laboratory are included in this dataset. Pigment concentrations are reported for 18 samples collected.
To evaluate the biological diversity and trophic interactions among organisms ranging from primary producers to apex predators and from the deep-sea benthos to the coast. These data contribute to a food web model used to determine risks to ecosystem structure and function and regional economies following from extreme anthropogenic events (e.g., discharged and background hydrocarbon) and adaptive management strategies.

any type of water bottle sampling device
Generic name for water collection device; usually used to determine temperature, salinity and provide water aliquots for measurement of a wide range of parameters; often referred to by a specific type of water sampling bottle, such as a Nansen or Niskin bottle.

turbidity sensor
turbidity sensor
Measures the turbidity of water
Turbidity sensors measure the amount of light that is scattered by suspended solids in a liquid, such as water. When the concentration of total suspended solids (TSS) and total dissolved solids (TDS) in a liquid increase, the turbidity also increases.
