This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, optical, physical and profile data collected from AURORA AUSTRALIS in the Indian Ocean and Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South) from 2016-01-11 to 2016-03-15. These data include AMMONIUM (NH4), DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHOTOSYNTHETIC ACTIVE RADIATION (PAR), Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, PAR Sensor and bottle.

These data were collected by Andrew Constable of Australian Antarctic Division, Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities and Stephen R. Rintoul and Bronte Tilbrook of Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization as part of the SOCCOM_09AR20160111_BT data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: Kerguelen Axis (K-Axis) V3 and SOCCOM
