NOAA G-IV Dropsonde Data during the El Niño Rapid Response (ENRR) Field Campaign from 2016-01-21 to 2016-03-11 (NCEI Accession 0174451)

browse graphicPreview graphic
A series of 22 flights were flown during the NOAA ENRR mission. Each flight released a set of dropsondes that measured a vertical profile of temperature (C), wind speed, wind direction, u-wind, v-wind, RH, descent rate, altitude, and pressure. The dropsonde was a Vaisala RS-92. There were a total of 607 dropsondes. PTU data are 2hz(1/2 sec) and winds/altitude are every 4hz (1/4 sec).
