        abstract:  Physical, chemical, and biological water quality data collected at moored buoy WE02 in western basin of Lake Erie collected between 2012 and 2018 to support the understanding of harmful algal blooms (HABs). In situ data were collected for the following parameters, wind speed mean, wind speed maximum, air temperature, barometric pressure, depth, water temperature, specific conductivity, pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin, dissolved organic matter, nitrate, and phosphate. Table cells with "NAN" means no data available.
        purpose:  These data were collected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (NOAA-GLERL) and the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research (CIGLR) to support NOAA-GLERL’s operational development of the Lake Erie harmful algal bloom (HAB) forecasts and to directly monitor microcystin concentrations within the ecosystem.
