Turbidity, SOLAR RADIATION - ATMOSPHERIC and other data from GYRE in the Gulf of Mexico from 1990-02-19 to 1990-02-24 (NCEI Accession 9000098)
The data in this accession was collected in the Gulf of Mexico using the R/V Gyre in February 1990 under the Texas Institutions Gulf Ecosystem Research (TIGER) program through a MMS grant # 14-35-0001-30501 given to DR. Douglas C. Biggs. These data were submitted by Dr. Murphy from Texas A&M. The data set contains the following parameters: salinity, oxygen, ammonia, phosphate, urea, silica, nitrate, nitrite and CTD data. There are no temperatures in these profiles the format for these data are described in the documentation. The station data in originator's diskette has been processed and is available in NODC F022 CTD hi resolution format.

Supplemental Information | Note: Metadata for this accession were extracted from a legacy database maintained by the U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Principal Investigator (PI) and organization contact information accurately represents all available information from the legacy database at the time that this description was created. However, proper attribution of a PI to a specific institution or the role (submitting or collecting) taken by an institution may not be correct due to inexact mapping between fields in the legacy database and the CSDGM. Due to this uncertainty, the contact information was initially recorded in the Supplemental Information element of the CSDGM description. To develop more accurate metadata, NCEI reviews metadata for all accessions on an ongoing basis. Points of contact for this data set include: Contact info: Agency: TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY PI: Biggs, Dr. Douglas PI: 33 Address: address: NOT AVAILABLE city: COLLEGE STATION state: TX postal: 77843-3146 country: UNITED STATES In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
