Supplemental Information
STUDY NOTES: This is a compilation of high-resolution (approximately century-scale) records that reconstruct sea surface temperature (SST) or the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) for the last 21,000 years. The SST reconstructions are based either on the alkenone or the Magnesium/Calcium paleothermometers. SST reconstructions are available in one netCDF file containing data for 39 cores, or as a zipped collection of ASCII files containing an extended dataset of 59 cores. Three cores have AMOC reconstructions, which are based on either sediment grain size or on 231Protactinium/230 Thorium proxies. The AMOC dataset is available as zipped collection of ASCII files or as a single netCDF file. Keywords: temperature, Meridional Overturning Circulation, last glacial maximum, sea surface temperature.
ABSTRACT SUPPLIED BY ORIGINATOR: Records of past temperature, precipitation, and other climate variables derived from paleoclimate proxies. Parameter keywords describe what was measured in this data set. Additional summary information can be found in the abstracts of papers listed in the data set citations.
